Metropolix by Intellijel is the successor to the beloved Metropolis, expanding on its real-time, hands-on sequencing philosophy. At its core are 8 illuminated pitch sliders, each with a pulse count switch and gate type switch, creating a tactile interface for building sequences. Two independent tracks (TRK 1 and TRK 2) interpret the same physical sliders with different settings — each track has its own playback order, length, clock division, swing, slide time, and per-stage parameters including gate overrides, pitch overrides, ratchets, probability, accumulating transposition, and a dedicated CV lane. Eight additional MOD lanes provide independent modulation sequences routable to assignable outputs (A, B) or dozens of internal destinations for self-modulation. Three AUX CV inputs (X, Y, Z) and two assignable CTRL knobs offer extensive real-time performance control. With 64 preset slots, preset chaining, Loopy mode for instant sub-sequences, MIDI over USB, and optional Gx/Qx gate expander support, Metropolix is a comprehensive sequencing hub for complex melodic and rhythmic patches.
