Monome Ansible
Multi-app grid/arc/MIDI controller interface
6 HP Eurorack module
Ansible is a 6HP Eurorack USB host that bridges Monome Grid, Arc, MIDI controllers, and Teletype into the modular environment. It runs multiple embedded applications — Kria (polyphasic step sequencer), Meadowphysics (cascading counter), Earthsea (polyphonic pattern instrument), Levels (rotational voltages), Cycles (momentum-based CV), and MIDI voice/arp modes — automatically selected based on the connected USB device. Each app outputs up to four CV/gate pairs with extensive preset storage and scale sharing across apps. Firmware is open-source and user-updateable.
Features
- USB host for Monome Grid, Arc, and MIDI controllers
- Six embedded apps: Kria, Meadowphysics, Earthsea, Levels, Cycles, MIDI
- Four CV outputs (0-10V) and four trigger outputs (0V/10V)
- Two inputs for external clock and reset
- Kria: four-track step sequencer with per-parameter loop points and clock divisions
- Kria probability and ratcheting for generative sequences
- Meadowphysics: cascading counter sequencer with configurable rules
- Earthsea: polyphonic pattern instrument with isomorphic keyboard
- Levels: Arc-controlled voltage source with 16 pattern slots
- Cycles: momentum-based rotational CV generator
- MIDI Voice: Poly/Mono/Multi/Fixed allocation styles
- MIDI Arp: 8 arpeggiator styles with independent voice divisions
