Monsoon is a variation of Mutable Instruments Clouds, a granular audio processor that captures audio into a buffer and re-synthesizes it as clouds of grains. It features separate CV inputs and dedicated sliders for the four blend parameters (dry/wet, stereo spread, feedback, reverb), giving hands-on control over the output mix. Parasites 2.01 firmware is loaded by default, adding additional synthesis modes beyond the original Clouds feature set.

- Mode Button toggles LED display between audio input monitoring and blend CV monitoring
- Separate CV inputs for Density, Texture, Size, and Pitch
- Freeze CV input and Freeze button
- Gate input
- Stereo outputs (Left and Right)
- Module power connector can be connected either way (reverse-power-safe)
- Alternative firmware can be loaded by request
Controls & Jacks (32)
- Write — Enables writing/recording into the buffer
- DISP — Display mode button — cycles through parameter display modes on LEDs
- LED 3 — Indicates CV input or blend amount for parameter 3
- LED 2 — Indicates CV input or blend amount for parameter 2
- LED 1 — Indicates CV input or blend amount for parameter 1
- LED 4 — Indicates CV input or blend amount for parameter 4
- Pitch — Controls pitch shift of grains
- Position — Controls grain start position in the buffer
- Density — Controls grain density
- Size — Controls grain size and duration
- Texture — Controls grain texture and characteristics
- In Gain — Controls input gain level before granular processing
- Wet — Controls dry/wet mix balance
- Pan — Controls stereo panning of grains
- Feedback — Controls feedback amount in the processing chain
- Reverb — Controls reverb amount on output
- Wet CV Input — CV input for wet/dry mix parameter
- Pan CV Input — CV input for pan parameter
- Feedback CV Input — CV input for feedback parameter
- Reverb CV Input — CV input for reverb parameter
- V/Oct Input — 1V/oct pitch CV input for transposing grains
- Trig Input — Trigger input for grain generation
- Position CV Input — CV input for position control
- Density CV Input — CV input for density control
- Size CV Input — CV input for size control
- Texture CV Input — CV input for texture control
- Left Input — Left channel audio input for granular processing
- Right Input — Right channel audio input (normalled from left)
- Freeze — Freezes the current buffer for granular playback
- Gate Input — Gate input for freeze control
- Left Output — Left channel audio output
- Right Output — Right channel audio output
