Mosaic Quantizer
Turn any voltage into musical melody instantly
20 HP Eurorack module
The Mosaic Quantizer is a 1U pitch quantizer that constrains any input voltage to musical scales, turning random CV, LFOs, and other sources into melodic material. It features a chromatic note interface for building custom scales, an arpeggiator mode for sequence generation without a CV source, and a tune mode for oscillator calibration. With built-in scale storage, slew, and octave transposition, it is a versatile melodic tool in a compact tile format.
Features
- Pitch quantizer with 12-step chromatic note interface for custom scale creation
- Three operating modes: Quantizer, Arpeggiator, and Tune
- 12 built-in traditional scales including Major, Minor, Pentatonic, Harmonic Minor, Whole Tone, Chromatic, and all church modes
- All 12 built-in scales can be overwritten with custom scale data
- Save and load scales on the fly using SHIFT + Save/Load buttons
- Factory scale restore by holding Load button on a scale position until it blinks
- Slew (glide) control to slide between notes, adjustable across 12 levels
- Octave offset up to 4 octaves up
- Gate output (0-10V, 10ms) fires on every detected note change
- Gate output LED blinks for 40ms on each trigger
- Trig input normalled internally so note updates happen automatically without external trigger
- External Trig input for manual gating or arp advancement (rising edge >0.3V, must stay high for 3ms)
