Function Generator

4 HP Eurorack module

Analog function generator with voltage-controlled rise and fall stages, usable as an envelope or a cycling LFO/VCO.

Features

  • Compact fully analogue envelope/function generator.
  • Voltage-controlled rise and fall times.
  • Shape control morphing from exponential through linear to logarithmic curves.
  • End-of-cycle trigger output for chaining functions.
  • Trigger/slew input selectable with a rear jumper.

Controls & Jacks (13)

  • Rise/Fall Shape— Continuously morphs both rise and fall curves from exponential through linear (about noon) to logarithmic.
  • Rise Time— Sets the rise (attack) time of the function.
  • Fall Time— Sets the fall (decay) time of the function.
  • Rise CV Input— CV input for modulating the rise (attack) time; approximately ±5 V range.
  • Fall CV Input— CV input for modulating the fall (decay) time; approximately ±5 V range.
  • Trigger/Slew Input— Trigger input by default; with the rear jumper set to slew mode, accepts audio signals and gates for slew/envelope processing.
  • Signal Output— Bipolar ±10 V function output, usable as an envelope/LFO control voltage or VCO-rate audio signal.
  • End of Cycle Output— 0–10 V trigger output that goes high at the end of the cycle/fall stage.
  • Output Attenuverter— Attenuates and inverts the Signal Output, setting its range from −10 V to +10 V.
  • Signal Output Indicator— Bipolar LED indicating the polarity and level of the Signal Output.
  • Cycle CV Input— CV input that toggles Cycle on or off with incoming positive voltages; approximately ±5 V range.
  • End of Cycle Indicator— LED indicating the End of Cycle trigger.
  • Cycle— Locks the envelope into retriggering via its end-of-cycle signal, turning it into an LFO or VCO.

How-To Guides

  • Create a cycling function
  • Toggle cycling with CV
