Noise Engineering Incus Iteritas Alia

FM wavemorphing additive percussion and instrument voice

10 HP Eurorack module

Incus Iteritas Alia is an FM-based wave-mangling additive voice designed for synthetic percussion and melodic instruments, built on Noise Engineering's 10HP Alia platform. It combines waveshaping, saturation, wavefolding, FM synthesis, and additive synthesis across three distinct algorithms (Grind, Impact, Heavy) to produce everything from booming kicks and snappy snares to ripping FM bass and metallic textures. The Alia platform allows free firmware swapping via USB, so the module can be reflashed to run any Alia-compatible firmware. All parameters have CV inputs for full voltage control, and the built-in envelope with trigger input makes it a self-contained voice.

Features

• Three synthesis algorithms: Grind, Impact, Heavy
• Additive oscillator bank with variable tuning and levels
• Continuous waveshape morphing: sine, triangle, square, saw

• Internal envelope with trigger input
• Pitch encoder with coarse semitone and fine tuning modes
• 1V/oct pitch tracking
• Bipolar Attack control with algorithm-dependent behavior
• Three octave ranges via Bass/Alto/Treble switch
• Envelope output for modulating external modules
• Full CV control over all parameters
• Alia platform: free USB firmware swapping
