Noise Engineering Opp Ned
Quad CV Arpeggiator
8 HP Eurorack module
Opp Ned is a four-channel arpeggiator that creates customizable note patterns advanced by external triggers. Each channel shares the same arpeggio but can be clocked independently, creating polyrhythmic variations from a single pattern. Onboard controls set octave span, direction, and playback shape, all CV-controllable. Twelve memory slots store custom arpeggios, recallable manually or via CV. A quantized transpose input allows easy integration with external sequencers.
Features
- Four independent arpeggiator channels sharing one pattern
- CV control over octave span, direction, and playback shape
- 12 saveable arpeggio memory slots with CV recall
- Quantized transpose CV input (-2V to +5V)
- Three playback shapes: Plain, Zigzag, Random
- Three direction modes: Up, Down, Up-Down
- 1 to 3 octave range
- Per-channel independent clocking for polyrhythmic patterns
- Ships with 12 preset arpeggios including tetrads and scales
- LED brightness adjustable via Rst + encoder
Controls & Jacks (20)
- Select — Selects notes in Edit mode, selects save/load slots, adjusts LED brightness when held with Rst
- Load/Edit/Save — Three-position switch: Load (left) recalls saved arpeggios, Edit (center) modifies current arpeggio, Save (right) stores to memory slot
- Octave — Sets arpeggio span to 1, 2, or 3 octaves
- Direction — Sets arpeggio direction: Up (ascending), Down (descending), or Up-Down (ascending then descending)
- Shape — Sets playback shape: Plain (sequential), Zigzag (up one, down one, jump two), or Random
- Rst — Resets all four channels to first step on next advance. Hold to freeze all channels on current step until released, then jumps to root note
- In 1 — Trigger input that advances channel 1
- Rst In — Trigger input for reset, same function as Rst button
- In 2 — Trigger input that advances channel 2
- 1/2/3 CV In — CV input to modulate octave span (0-5V)
- Out 1 — Pitch CV output for channel 1 (0-5V)
- In 3 — Trigger input that advances channel 3
- Up/Dn CV In — CV input to modulate arpeggio direction (0-5V)
- Out 2 — Pitch CV output for channel 2 (0-5V)
- Xpose — Quantized transpose CV input added to all four channel outputs (-2V to +5V)
- Out 3 — Pitch CV output for channel 3 (0-5V)
- In 4 — Trigger input that advances channel 4
- Shape CV In — CV input to modulate playback shape (0-5V)
- Notes CV In — CV input to switch between saved arpeggio patterns
- Out 4 — Pitch CV output for channel 4 (0-5V)
