Noise Engineering Zularic Repetitor
Polyrhythmic gate generator from world music traditions
8 HP Eurorack module
Zularic Repetitor is a rhythmic gate generator rooted in African music theory, offering 30 mother rhythms drawn from African, Indian, Latin, Funk, and Rock traditions. It outputs four simultaneous gate patterns, with three child outputs that can be time-offset from the mother pattern via CV or knob control, enabling rich polyrhythmic and dynamic rhythmic variation from a single clock source.
Features
- 30 mother rhythms from African, Indian, Latin, Funk, and Rock traditions
- Four simultaneous gate outputs: Mother and Child 1, 2, 3
- Three child outputs with CV and knob controllable time offset relative to mother pattern
- Two pattern banks: Old World and New World, selectable via WORLD switch
- BEAT clock input advances pattern on rising edge, gates return to zero on falling edge
- MEASURE input resets beat to start of measure on rising edge
- RST button pauses time advancement while held and resets to measure start on release
- RANDOM special mode with per-output CV-controllable probability gates
- DIVIDER special mode converting module to three-section CV-controllable clock divider (1-32 division)
- LED display of current pattern selection
- Orange LED indicates WORLD switch state
- CV inputs for MOTHER pattern selection and all three CHILD offsets
Controls & Jacks (17)
- Child 3 — Controls the time offset in beats of Child 3 output relative to the mother rhythm. Acts as a scalar for Child 3 CV input.
- Mother CV — Control voltage input for mother pattern selection, scaled by Mother knob.
- Child 1 — Controls the time offset in beats of Child 1 output relative to the mother rhythm. Acts as a scalar for Child 1 CV input.
- Mother — Selects the mother rhythm pattern from 30 available patterns. Acts as a scalar for Mother CV input.
- Child 1 CV — Control voltage input for Child 1 offset, scaled by Child 1 knob.
- Child 2 CV — Control voltage input for Child 2 offset, scaled by Child 2 knob.
- Child 3 — 6V gate output of Child 3 rhythm pattern with offset.
- Child 3 CV — Control voltage input for Child 3 offset, scaled by Child 3 knob.
- Beat — Master clock input that advances time on rising edge and returns active gates to zero on falling edge.
- Measure — Measure reset input that returns the beat to the start of the measure on a rising edge.
- Child 1 — 6V gate output of Child 1 rhythm pattern with offset.
- Child 2 — Controls the time offset in beats of Child 2 output relative to the mother rhythm. Acts as a scalar for Child 2 CV input.
- Mother — 6V gate output of the mother rhythm pattern.
- Child 2 — 6V gate output of Child 2 rhythm pattern with offset.
- World — Selects between Old World (Indian, African, Vodou) and New World (Funk, Rock, Pop) rhythm banks. Status indicated by orange LED.
- RST — Pauses time advancement while depressed and resets time to the start of the measure when released.
- CUM — Control voltage input for mother pattern selection, scaled by Mother knob.
