The Sloth DK is a chaotic CV generator for Eurorack that produces extremely slow, unpredictable voltage outputs, taking 8 to 20 hours to complete a single chaotic orbit. It outputs two independent chaotic signals plus a mixed output, all ranging roughly between plus and minus 4 volts, making it ideal for imperceptibly slow generative modulation of parameters over extended periods. Its musical character is deeply ambient and geological in pace, introducing subtle, non-repeating drift to any parameter it touches.
Features
- Two independent chaotic CV outputs taken from different stages of the circuit
- Mixed output combining both chaotic signals, slightly hotter and more complex than individual outputs
- Mix Level pot attenuates the mixed output
- Chaotic orbit period of 8 to 20 hours
- Output signals range between plus and minus 4V, mostly plus and minus 2V
- Bi-polar two-pin LED indicating chaotic state changes
- No inputs and no external control over the chaotic process
- Large 10000uF capacitors protrude through the panel as a visual feature
- Optional Schottky diode reverse voltage protection on power rails
- Eurorack 10-pin power connector
- All SMD construction except through-hole capacitors, jacks, LED, and pot
- Three 3.5mm output jacks: Out 1, Mix Out, Out 2

- Mix Output — Mixed combination of the two main outputs, attenuated by the Mix Level knob, hotter and more complex than individual outputs
- Output 1 — First chaotic CV output, typically ranging +/-2V to +/-4V
- Bi-polar — Bi-polar indicator showing the direction of the chaotic signal
- OUT1 — First chaotic CV output, typically ranging +/-2V to +/-4V
- OUT2 — Second chaotic CV output from different circuit stage, typically ranging +/-2V to +/-4V
- MIX OUT — Mixed combination of the two main outputs, attenuated by the Mix Level knob, hotter and more complex than individual outputs
