XAOC Devices Odessa
Additive harmonic oscillator with up to 2560 partials
24 HP Eurorack module
Odessa is a variable spectrum harmonic cluster oscillator that synthesizes audio by summing up to 2560 sinusoidal partials, shaped by tilt, warped comb filtering, and tension controls. It can produce everything from pure sine waves to sawtooth, square, inharmonic metallic tones, and dense noise-like clusters, and can stack up to five detuned voices for massive unison or chord effects.
Features
- Additive synthesis engine with up to 2560 sinusoidal partials (512 per voice, 5 voices)
- Frequency range 0.5Hz to 21kHz with 0.006Hz resolution
- Pitch CV V/Oct input accepting -5V to +10V
- Exponential FM input with depth attenuator
- Through-zero linear FM input (AC coupled, up to 10Vpp)
- Spectral Tilt control shaping partial amplitude decay via exponent
- Warped comb frequency-domain response (Density, Warp, Peaking) with CV inputs
- Tension control for harmonic or inharmonic spectra
- 1, 3, or 5 stacked detunable voices selectable by button
- Spread control for symmetric detuning of additional voices
- Bank Length and Harmonic Factor for splitting partials between outputs
- Odd Partials and Even Partials separate outputs plus dedicated Fundamental output
