The Rainmaker is a high-quality 96kHz stereo rhythmic delay and comb resonator Eurorack module featuring a 16-tap delay line with per-tap filters and pitch shifters, plus a 64-tap comb resonator capable of Karplus-Strong plucked string synthesis and deep spectral resonance. It combines rhythmic echo sculpture with modal synthesis and granular pitch shifting, making it equally suited to lush ambient textures, rhythmically complex delays, and expressive synthesized tones. Extensive CV control, 16 groove types, and deep per-tap editing give it an almost compositional character.

  • Mix Potentiometer— Blend between dry (input) and wet (effect output); counter-clockwise is dry, clockwise is wet
  • DELAY TONE CV Attenuator— Small potentiometer to attenuate external DELAY FEEDBACK TONE control voltage
  • FX ON (Delay)— Toggle rhythm delay effect on/off (bypass when off); red LED indicates active state
  • MOD RATE— Edit rhythm delay time modulation LFO rate in Hz
  • DELAY PITCH SHIFT CV Attenuator— Small potentiometer to attenuate external DELAY PITCH SHIFT control voltage
  • FEEDBACK SLIP— Fine-tune feedback delay time ahead or behind selected tap for rushing/dragging effects
  • CLOCK TIME— Edit beat time (delay clock base time) in milliseconds and BPM
  • TAP GRID— Edit the GRID value defining tap delay time relationships
  • MOD A CV Attenuator— Small potentiometer to attenuate external MOD A control voltage

  • SIZE— Edit comb size (delay time of tap 64) in milliseconds
  • FEEDBACK TAP— Select which tap feeds back to delay input; edit left/right feedback tap numbers and ping-pong mode
  • TIME MOD LEVEL— Edit rhythm delay time modulation LFO amplitude
  • COMB SIZE CV Attenuator— Small potentiometer to attenuate external COMB SIZE control voltage
  • REV WET DRY— Toggle Reverse effect ON/OFF; edit internal rhythm delay wet/dry mix
  • Comb Feedback Potentiometer— Control amount of comb tap 64 fed back to input (added to FEEDBACK CV)
  • COMB FEEDBACK CV Attenuator— Small potentiometer to attenuate external COMB FEEDBACK control voltage
  • RAND— Select randomization destination; press encoder to execute randomization
  • CLK SRC— Select comb size source (COMB CLK, COMB SIZE, DLY CLK/T, or Encoder)
  • FX ON (Comb)— Toggle comb resonator effect on/off (bypass when off); red LED indicates active state
  • Feedback Tone Potentiometer— Tone control on feedback signal (lowpass/highpass); 12 o'clock is flat
  • GRAIN SIZE— Select grain size/time interval for granular pitch shifters
  • SIZE MOD:LEVEL— Edit comb size modulation LFO amplitude
  • ROUTING+CONFIG— Configure signal routing (DLY>CMB, CMB>DLY, DLY+CMB, L:DLY R:CMB), input mode, and trigger operation
  • SIZE MOD:WAVE— Select comb size modulation LFO waveform
  • Clear— Clear both rhythm delay and comb delay line memory
  • Pitch Shift Potentiometer— Apply global pitch shift to all 16 rhythm delay taps (~±2 octaves); 12 o'clock is zero
  • MOD A Potentiometer— Modulation control for assignable parameter (added to MOD A CV input); analog attenuator
  • MUTE (Delay)— Mute rhythm delay input; red LED flashes when muted
  • Delay Feedback Potentiometer— Control amount of selected rhythm delay tap fed back to input

  • PATT+SLOPE— Edit comb tap time pattern (16 options) and tap level slope (Flat, Rising, Falling, Rise/Fall)
  • COMB FEEDBACK CV— Control voltage for comb feedback amount (added to COMB FEEDBACK potentiometer)
  • COMB 1V/OCT— 1V/octave exponential pitch control for comb size (no attenuator); halves size per volt
  • MOD B CV Attenuator— Small potentiometer to attenuate external MOD B control voltage
  • TIME MOD WAVE— Select rhythm delay time modulation LFO waveform
  • MUTE (Comb)— Mute comb input; red LED flashes when muted
  • FEEDBACK PITCH— Edit feedback pitch shift and detune for left and right channels

  • Save— Store current module parameters to one of 128 preset slots; press multiple times to edit preset name
  • GROOVE AMT— Edit groove amount (0-100) to blend between Straight and selected groove type
  • GROOVE TYPE— Select groove type (Straight, Swing, Hard Swing, etc.) for tap timing patterns
  • INR— Right channel audio input
  • Pitch Shift— Access per-tap pitch shift parameter (-16 to +15 semitones); press again for detune
  • COMB CLK— External clock input to set comb size when CLK SRC is COMB CLK; period multiplied by COMB CLK DIV
