Guillotine is a true stereo hard clipping distortion in 1U format. Each of its two channels delivers up to 25dB of gain — enough to bring instrument and mic level sources such as guitars, basses, and microphones up to modular levels, though never cleanly. An internal feedback routing gives each channel three distortion colors, chosen with its Color switch: low frequency emphasis, neutral, or high frequency emphasis. When processing mono signals, Out L can be self-patched into In R to chain the two channels for close to 50dB of gain, and certain color combinations at low gain can even self-oscillate. Guillotine also works on LFOs, envelopes, and other control signals for drastic CV shaping.
