The Assimil8or is a powerful eight-channel sampler designed by Dave Rossum for Eurorack modular synthesis. Each channel has its own gate/trigger input, three assignable CV inputs, and a dedicated monophonic output, with all channels optionally summed to a stereo mix bus. The module features 422MB of sample memory freely allocatable between channels, 24-bit A/D and D/A conversion, and a unique phase modulation capability that allows samples to be timbral-modulated by external analog signals or by other samples. Up to 8 zones per channel enable CV-controlled sample selection, while extensive channel modes (Master, Link, Cycle, Stereo/Right, and Crossfade Groups) allow complex multi-channel interactions.

- Per-channel Mutate controls: variable bit depth (1-32 bits), aliasing, reverse, and smoothing
- Envelope per channel with attack (instantaneous to 99s) and release, plus Auto trigger mode
- Loop modes: Off, Normal, Gated with independent start point and end/length modes
- One-shot and Gated play modes with Latch option for sustained playback
