RYK Modular M185 Sequencer
Eight-stage dual-channel sequencer with per-stage gate modes
28 HP Eurorack module
The RYK M185 is an 8-stage dual-channel MIDI and CV sequencer inspired by the classic Roland 185 sequencer, featuring per-stage selectable gate modes, programmable stage counts, scale quantization, and split sequence operation. It excels at creating evolving, rhythmically complex melodic patterns with precise gate timing control and deep MIDI integration for hybrid modular/MIDI setups.
Features
- 8 stages with individual CV knobs, stage count sliders, and gate mode sliders
- Per-stage gate modes: Off, Single, Multiple, Multiple/2, Multiple/3, Multiple/4, Probability/Programmable, Long
- Dual channel CV and Gate output (CH1 and CH2)
- MIDI Note and MIDI Clock output via TRS MIDI
- MIDI Clock input and MIDI Note input for root note transposition via TRS MIDI
- Scale quantization with 16 scales including chromatic, major, minor, modal, and pentatonic
- Adjustable root note per scale from C to B in semitones
- Four play modes: Forward, Ping-Pong, Random, Fixed Length
- Split mode: No Split, Serial (AAAB type structures), Parallel (simultaneous A and B sequences)
