Schlappi Engineering 100 Grit
Dual resonant filter with distortion feedback and touch interaction
12 HP Eurorack module
The 100 Grit is a chaotic dual filter and distortion instrument from Schlappi Engineering. Built around two resonant filter cores with extensive cross-modulation and distortion feedback paths, it excels at generating everything from screaming leads to textured noise. The eight brass touch points connect directly to sensitive analog circuit nodes, letting you inject body capacitance into the signal path for unpredictable tonal shifts. The large central Frequency knob controls the primary filter pitch, while the x100 switch extends the range into audio-rate oscillation territory. Two separate audio inputs feed into independent distortion stages that can be cross-patched for complex feedback topologies.
Features
- Dual resonant filter with independent distortion stages
- Self-oscillation capable — works as a dual oscillator with x100 switch
- Eight brass touch points for hands-on circuit interaction
- Two FM inputs: one through distortion path, one clean
- Internal normalization creates default feedback distortion topology
- Three-position x100 switch with momentary spring position
- Separate DIST output for feedback patching or parallel processing
