The Steady State Fate Detect-Rx is a comprehensive envelope follower, gate extractor, and signal detector for Eurorack. It analyzes incoming audio signals and produces several useful CV and gate outputs: a smoothed envelope follower CV (with adjustable gain and smoothing), a threshold-based gate, and a rectified signal output. The module features switchable PEAK/ENV detection modes — peak mode responds rapidly to transients while envelope mode provides smoother amplitude tracking. A range switch optimizes detection for different frequency bands. The Threshold knob (with CV input) sets the gate sensitivity, and the Smooth knob controls envelope follower response time. A thru-pass output provides the unprocessed input signal for parallel routing. Ideal for extracting rhythmic triggers from audio, creating auto-wah effects, sidechain-style ducking, and any application where audio dynamics should control other parameters.

- Three independent channels of sample and hold
- Six unique internal analog pink noise generators (two per channel)
- Unipolar output (0 to +5V) always sourced from internal pink noise, outputs 0V approximately 50% of the time
- Bipolar output (-5 to +5V) defaults to internal pink noise, overridden by external SAMPLE input
- External sample and hold input accepts -10V to +10V signals including audio-rate sources
- Channel 1 trigger normalized to Channel 2 and Channel 3 trigger inputs
- High-performance analog S&H with average droop rate of 60uV/s (approximately 4mV/min)
- Worst case sample error margin of 0-80mV with proper trigger requirements
- Bicolor [+/-] activity LED: RED for positive, GREEN for negative, brightness indicates voltage level
- Unipolar [+] activity LED with brightness indicating voltage level
- Trigger requirements: minimum 5V amplitude, 50us width, 1.5ms or less rise time
- Pink noise probability distribution: bipolar is bell-curve centered near 0V, unipolar peaks near 0V
