Steady State Fate Ultra-Random Redux
Four-section analog random voltage generator
10 HP Eurorack module
Ultra-Random Redux is an analog random voltage generator in 10HP with four interconnected sections: Random Pulse generator with divisor and gated sync, Linear Slew with 40us-40s voltage-controlled slew time, dual Random Sampling (S&H) circuits with bipolar/full-wave/half-wave rectification modes and Toggle output that splices between them, and Random Flux producing smoothly fluctuating random voltages. Cascaded trigger normalization (A-Trig to B/T Trig to FLX Trig) allows a single clock to drive all sections.
Features
- Four interconnected random voltage sections in 10HP
- Random Pulse generator with voltage-controlled Density and 1-128 Divisor
- Gated Sync locks random pulses to external triggers on A or B
- Linear Slew section with 40us to 40s voltage-controlled slew time
- Dual independent S&H circuits (A and B) with internal noise or external sample sources
- Three rectification modes per S&H: bipolar, full-wave, half-wave
- Toggle output splices between A and B S&H values on each B trigger
- Random Flux section produces smooth, continuously fluctuating random voltages
- Flux probability bias (FLX PRB) controls directional drift of random walk
- Cascaded trigger normalization: A Trig to B/T Trig to FLX Trig — single clock drives all sections
- R-PLS Out normalized to SLW In for automatic random pulse slewing
- All sections independently patchable or interconnected via normalization
