XAOC Devices Tallin
Dual VCA with overdrive and soft clipping
6 HP Eurorack module
Tallin by Xaoc Devices is a dual voltage-controlled amplifier with overdrive, offering two identical channels with linear and exponential CV response. Each channel has two simultaneous CV inputs, manual gain from -80dB to +18dB, color LED level indicators, soft-clip circuit, and switchable overdrive simulating classic tube amplifier distortion. DC-coupled for both audio and CV use.
Features
- Dual VCA with independent linear/exponential response switching
- Normalled signal path — Channel B input normalled to Channel A
- Mix output combines both channels
- Switchable response curve per channel for versatile dynamics
Controls & Jacks (14)
- A — Main level/gain knob for VCA channel A. Sweeps from minimum to maximum output amplitude.
- B LED — Signal level indicator LED for VCA channel B.
- A LED — Signal level indicator LED for VCA channel A.
- B — Main level/gain knob for VCA channel B. Sweeps from minimum to maximum output amplitude.
- Drive A — Three-position drive switch for VCA A: Symmetric, Linear, or Asymmetric saturation character.
- Drive B — Three-position drive switch for VCA B: Symmetric, Linear, or Asymmetric saturation character.
- EXP B — Exponential CV input for VCA B. Response follows the exponential curve regardless of Drive switch setting.
- EXP A — Exponential CV input for VCA A. Response follows the exponential curve regardless of Drive switch setting.
- IN B — Audio/CV signal input for VCA B. Normalled to IN A when unpatched.
- IN A — Audio/CV signal input for VCA A.
- OUT A — Processed signal output for VCA A.
