Fully CV-controllable 16-waveform LFO with S/H and VCA
12 HP Eurorack module
The Thorn Audio VCLFO is a fully voltage-controllable, externally syncable, 16-waveform low frequency oscillator built around a programmable PIC microcontroller running Electric Druid firmware. It offers 8 base waveforms (rising ramp, falling ramp, square, triangle, sine, valley, peaks, noise) each with an alternative variant (harmonic additions, quad modes, random glide), all selectable via CV. A built-in sample & hold circuit can be clocked internally or externally via sync, and the Skew control shifts the waveform center point from 12.5% to 87.5% of the cycle. The integrated VCA controls output amplitude from 0V to +-5V. Every parameter has a dedicated CV input, making hands-free modulation of all aspects possible. The processor is socketed for custom firmware.
