Timo Rozendal Dyn
14 HP Eurorack module
Stereo Eurorack transient shaper and dynamics processor with gate, maximizer, limiter, dry/wet mix, and an always-on output clipper.
Features
- Stereo-linked processing follows the louder channel, preserving the stereo image.
- The dry path is taken before Gain, so dry/wet blending returns the original input.
- An always-on output clipper catches the final signal.
- Controls and CV are smoothed for click-free movement.
Controls & Jacks (27)
- Gate Threshold— Sets the gate threshold from −80 dB to 0 dB.
- Sustain— Bipolar transient-tail shaping from −20 dB to +20 dB; centre is off.
- Attack— Bipolar transient attack shaping from −15 dB to +15 dB; centre is off.
- Maximize Curve— Sets the maximizer character from gentle at minimum to aggressive at maximum.
- CV Scale— Sets modulation depth and polarity for the selected CV destination; centre is off.
- L Out— Left processed audio output.
- R Out— Right processed audio output.
- CV In— 0–5 V modulation input, routed to the selected destination and normalled to 0 V when unpatched.
- R In— Right audio input for true stereo operation.
- CV Destination— Cycles CV routing: off, Gain, Gate, Attack, Sustain, Maximize, Limit, Mix, then off.
- Limit CV Selected— Lights when the CV input is routed to Limit.
- Mix CV Selected— Lights when the CV input is routed to Mix.
- L In— Left audio input; normalled to the right input when R In is unpatched.
- Gate CV Selected— Lights when the CV input is routed to Gate.
- Attack Activity— Shows the amount of transient attack processing currently being applied.
- Sustain Activity— Shows the amount of transient sustain processing currently being applied.
- Maximize CV Selected— Lights when the CV input is routed to Maximize.
- Sustain CV Selected— Lights when the CV input is routed to Sustain.
- Gate— Sets the amount of proportional gate gain reduction, from 0 to 100%.
- Maximize— Sets the amount of upward maximization, from 0 to 100%.
- Mix— Equal-power dry/wet crossfade; minimum is fully dry and maximum is fully wet.
- Gain— Bipolar input drive from −20 dB to +20 dB; centre is unity and drives every subsequent processing stage.
- Limit— Sets limiter amount from 0 to 100%.
- Gain CV Selected— Lights when the CV input is routed to Gain.
- Attack CV Selected— Lights when the CV input is routed to Attack.
- CV Level— Shows the actual applied modulation amount: CV input level multiplied by CV Scale.
- Clip— Indicates how far the output is exceeding the clipper’s −0.5 dBFS ceiling.
How-To Guides
- Process a drum loop
- Set the gate for hiss control
- Route CV to a parameter
