Verbos Electronics Bark Filter Processor
Psychoacoustic 12-band filter bank with envelope followers and vocoding
34 HP Eurorack module
The Bark Filter Processor is a 12-band fixed bandpass filter bank whose bands are tuned to the psychoacoustic Bark scale, ensuring auditory separation between adjacent bands with no masking effect. Each band features an envelope follower, level slider, CV input, and individual outputs, enabling spectral analysis, dynamic filtering, and pseudo-vocoding. It is a richly expressive tool for timbral sculpting, spectral animation, and live performance.
Features
- 12 fixed bandpass filters tuned to the psychoacoustic Bark scale
- Bands arranged so no masking effect occurs between adjacent bands
- Separate Odd and Even channel audio inputs with normalling (one input feeds both if only one is patched)
- Input Gain Control on audio inputs
- Individual band level sliders for all 12 bands
- Individual Level CV inputs for all 12 bands
- Envelope follower per band with shared Decay control (100ms to 3 seconds)
- Individual Follower Outputs for all 12 bands
- All Followers Output delivering the highest envelope voltage across all bands
- Follower LEDs that visually display spectral distribution as a simple spectrum analyzer
- Individual Filter Outputs for all 12 bands
- All Filter Output summing all bands with fader, Level CV, Frequency Scan, and Tilt applied
