Verbos Electronics Random Sampling
Dual random voltage generator for generative modular chaos
18 HP Eurorack module
Random Sampling is a dual-channel random voltage generator by Verbos Electronics that produces continuously evolving sample-and-hold voltages, gates, and clock signals. Each channel independently samples noise at its own rate or from an external clock, creating unpredictable yet musically useful CV streams for generative patching. Its linked or independent operation makes it ideal for introducing organic randomness into pitch, timbre, and rhythm simultaneously.
Features
- Dual independent random voltage channels (A and B)
- Per-channel Rate knob for internal clock speed
- Per-channel Range knob for output voltage span control
- Master Rate knob for global clock when channels are linked
- Link/Unlink button to synchronize or decouple both channels
- Per-channel clock input for external sync
- Per-channel clock output to drive other modules
- Per-channel CV input for voltage control of sampling rate
- Per-channel Sample Output providing new random voltage on each trigger
- Per-channel Hold Output providing voltage held between samples
- Per-channel Gate Output producing a pulse on each sample event
- Master Clock Input for external global clock
