Vostok Instruments Halo
Quad LFO with logic — 16 simultaneous modulators in 10HP.
10 HP Eurorack module
Halo is a compact quad LFO designed to pack a huge amount of modulation into 10HP. Each of the four channels delivers an independent triangle and square output at rates from sub-audio (0.008 Hz, ~2 minutes per cycle) up to 80 Hz, with bipolar 10Vpp CV input that sums with the FREQ knob. A two-section analog logic block then processes channel pairs (1–2 and 3–4): each pair gets AND, OR, XOR, and MIX outputs derived from whichever waveform (triangle or square) each channel sends into the logic section. Result: 16 simultaneous modulation signals from one 10HP module.
Features
- Four independent analog LFO channels in 10HP
- Frequency range from 0.008 Hz (~2 min) to 80 Hz
- Two-position LO/HI range switch per channel
- Simultaneous triangle and square outputs per channel
- Bipolar 10Vpp FREQ CV input per channel
- FREQ CV is normalled down the chain — one CV controls all four channels
- Two analog logic sections (one per channel pair 1-2 and 3-4)
- AND output — minimum/lower of the pair (downward modulation patterns)
- OR output — maximum/higher of the pair (upward modulation patterns)
- XOR output — unipolar 0-10V difference (great for gate-like patterns)
- MIX output — analog sum of both channel waveforms
- Per-channel logic waveform select (triangle or square into logic)
