Mutable Instruments Warps
Meta-modulator for signal hybridization and cross-modulation
10 HP Eurorack module
Warps is a meta-modulator designed to blend and cross-modulate two audio signals using seven distinct algorithms ranging from gentle crossfading to aggressive bitwise XOR. It excels at creating evolving hybrid textures, from classic ring modulation to vocoding, with smooth morphing between algorithms and a built-in oscillator for freeing up other modules in your system.
Features
- 7 signal hybridization algorithms
- CV control of algorithm selection with crossfading
- Built-in carrier oscillator with through-zero FM
- V/Oct tracking for internal oscillator
- Emulated analog saturation on inputs
- 20-band vocoder with formant shifting
- 32-bit floating point internal processing
Controls & Jacks (13)
- Algorithm — Selects which cross-modulation algorithm is used to process the carrier and modulator signals
- Internal Oscillator — Enables internal oscillator and selects its waveform, replacing the external carrier input
- Timbre — Controls the intensity of high harmonics or provides tone control for the selected modulation algorithm
- Aux — output jack
- Level 2 CV — input jack
- Level 1 CV — input jack
- Algorithm CV — input jack
- Input 1 — input jack
- Input 2 — input jack
- Level 1 — Controls carrier amplitude when using external input, or internal oscillator frequency when internal osc is enabled
- Level 2 — Controls the amplitude/level of the modulator signal
- Timbre CV — input jack
- Modulator Out — output jack
