WMD Javelin
Expressive accent envelope with integrated VCA
6 HP Eurorack module
Javelin is an expressive ADSR envelope generator with integrated VCA, featuring a digitally controlled analog core inspired by percussion and bassline synthesizers. It offers accent stacking, three envelope time ranges, three exponential curve settings, and looping — giving patches dramatic dynamics and life. The accent system allows velocity-like expression in modular, making it ideal for percussive and bass-driven patches.
Features
- Full ADSR envelope with digitally controlled analog core
- Integrated VCA with 22Vpp range and linear curve

- Accent CV input with three accent levels (+32%, +42%, +48%)
- Accent stacking feature with slewed accent response
- Three envelope output level settings (3V, 5V, 7V peak)
- CV control of decay time via RELEASE jack (MODE + LOOP combo)
- CV control of attack and release times via dedicated jacks
- Envelope normalled to AMP CV for zero-patch VCA operation
- ENV output jack for using envelope as a modulation source
Controls & Jacks (26)
- SUSTAIN — Potentiometer sets the sustain level of the envelope.
- RELEASE — Potentiometer controls the release time of the envelope.
- DECAY — Potentiometer controls the decay time of the envelope.
- AMP IN — Audio input to the integrated VCA.
- ENV OUT — Envelope output (before LEVEL attenuation).
- ACCENT CV — CV input for accent control (0-5V).
- ATTACK — Potentiometer controls the attack time of the envelope.
- AMP OUT — Audio output from the integrated VCA.
- AMP CV — CV input for integrated VCA.
- GATE — Gate input for the envelope.
- ATTACK CV — CV input for attack time control.
- ENV LED — Status LED showing pre-level voltage of the envelope.
- RELEASE CV — CV input for release time control (enabled via MODE + LOOP).
- RESET — Reset input that forces the envelope back to 0V.
- LOOP — Toggles looping on the envelope. Sustain stage remains active in loop mode. Hold and press with MODE to enable CV control of decay.
- ACC LED — Status LED showing current accent level. Blinks 3 times when accent stacking is enabled, once when disabled.
- MODE — Toggles between two envelope completion modes. LED lit = always complete all stages regardless of gate length. LED off = envelope only conti
- AMP CV LED — LED in crosshairs at top of VCA column showing AMP CV level.
- LOOP — Toggles looping on the envelope. Sustain stage remains active in loop mode. Hold and press with MODE to enable CV control of decay.
- RANGE — Cycles through three envelope time ranges: Fast (350µs-1.15s), Medium (700µs-5.5s), Slow (1ms-23s). Dim LED indicates fastest ranges.
- LEVEL — Quick press cycles through three attenuation levels of the envelope output. Hold to slowly cycle through three accent levels (max level acce
- EXPO — Cycles through 3 levels of exponential envelope response: Off (linear), Dim (slightly exponential), Lit (very exponential). Hold LOOP to cyc
- AMP CV (knob) — Potentiometer for integrated VCA CV control. The envelope is normalled to this input.
- ACCENT — CV input for accent control (0-5V).
- IN — Audio input to the integrated VCA.
- OUT — Audio output from the integrated VCA.
