Worng Electronics Glowing Orb
Vintage-voiced stereo state-variable filter with drive
10 HP Eurorack module
Glowing Orb is a vintage-voiced stereo state-variable filter built around the SSI2140 core (a modern SSM2040 derivative, the chip behind the Prophet-5 Rev 2), wired into a -12dB/oct SVF topology inspired by the Oberheim SEM. A single Filter Type knob sweeps continuously from low-pass through notch to high-pass, with a band-pass mode on a toggle switch. A gain-compensated Drive circuit adds asymmetric soft-to-hard clipping, and the cutoff is playable via a tuned 1V/oct input and an attenuverted FM input. The Orb glows with the cutoff frequency for visual feedback.
