Berlin is a hybrid analog/digital numeric oscillator (VCO) with over 20 octaves of tracking range, featuring square and sawtooth waveforms that can be digitally waveshaped without aliasing via the Leibniz Binary Subsystem interface. Its unique variable-clock architecture generates all sample points of each waveform at the correct rate rather than resampling, yielding rich harmonic content reminiscent of classic 1980s digital synthesizers like the Fairlight CMI and PPG Wave. Berlin can function as a standalone VCO or become the core of a complex, glitchy, wavetable, or metallic-noise oscillator when paired with Leibniz modules.

- Rising sawtooth (ramp) wave output via 8-bit DAC
- Perfectly symmetric 50% duty cycle square wave output across entire tuning range
- LBZ Clock output at 256x pitch frequency (up to 20 MHz usable)
- Leibniz Binary Subsystem interface (LBZ IN and LBZ OUT headers at rear)
- Blue backlit LBZ Link button for instant switching between raw saw and Leibniz-processed wave
- LBZ LINK input jack accepts 5V gate/logic for audio-rate wave mutation
- Hard Sync input with 2.4V comparator threshold for reliable sync from any signal type
- OCT SELECT CV input quantized to 1V steps for perfect octave switching
- Calibrated V/Oct PITCH CV input (-5V to +10V)
- Exponential FM CV input with dedicated manual attenuator
