XAOC Devices Moskwa II
Eight-step roto sequencer with deep live performance powers
20 HP Eurorack module
Moskwa II is an eight-step CV and gate/trigger sequencer designed for live performance, offering per-step gate patterns (micro-sequences of up to eight sub-gates), dual randomization circuits, a built-in quantizer and slew limiter, and the ability to chain two units for up to 16-step sequences. Its musical character blends classic analog sequencer simplicity with deep programmability, enabling everything from locked grooves to chaotic generative melodies.

Controls & Jacks (37)
- Step 6 CV — Sets the CV value for step 6.
- Step 1 CV — Sets the CV value for step 1.
- Step 4 — Activates/deactivates step 4 or selects step 4 in menus. Press and hold to enter step settings.
- Ext Clock — External clock input for tempo synchronization with other modules.
- Direction Input — Control input to reverse the direction of sequence playback.
- Step 2 CV — Sets the CV value for step 2.
- CV Out — Control voltage output from the sequencer. Sends voltage for each step regardless of step activation.
- Transport Input — Gate input to pause/play the sequence or toggle between on/pause states.
- Step 1 — Activates/deactivates step 1 or selects step 1 in menus. Press and hold to enter step settings.
- Step 3 CV — Sets the CV value for step 3.
- Step 4 CV — Sets the CV value for step 4.
- Step 7 CV — Sets the CV value for step 7.
- Patt/Preset — Activates pattern mode (single press) or enters preset manager (press and hold for 1 second).
- Reset — Sets the number of steps in the sequence (1-8).
- Step 2 — Activates/deactivates step 2 or selects step 2 in menus. Press and hold to enter step settings.
- Step 3 — Activates/deactivates step 3 or selects step 3 in menus. Press and hold to enter step settings.
- Gate Out — Gate/trigger output from active sequence steps. Can be configured as gate, trigger, half-gate, or merged gate.
- Rate — Sets the frequency of the built-in clock (12-2400 BPM). When external clock is patched, allows division or multiplication of clock rate.
- Reset Input — Reset/trigger input that resets the sequence to the first step.
- Rand Play — Gradually mutates the sequence by randomly replacing steps. Turning clockwise increases probability; returning to 0 restores current panel s
- Step 5 — Activates/deactivates step 5 or selects step 5 in menus. Press and hold to enter step settings.
- Step 5 CV — Sets the CV value for step 5.
- Step 7 — Activates/deactivates step 7 or selects step 7 in menus. Press and hold to enter step settings.
- Transport — Play/pause the sequence. Held for 1 second enters global settings mode.
- QUANT
- Step 8 CV — Sets the CV value for step 8.
- Step 6 — Activates/deactivates step 6 or selects step 6 in menus. Press and hold to enter step settings.
- CUSTOM
- Step/Quant — Selects step mode (single press) or enters quantization menu (press and hold for 1 second).
- Probability — Increases the probability of random setting inversions or adjusts the degree of randomization of the probability sequence in prob mode.
- Range — Adjusts the amplitude of the CV output in quantized 1V increments (0-8V unipolar or ±5V bipolar).
- PRESET
- SLEW ON
- Custom/Shift — Activates custom sequence programming or acts as shift control for secondary functions. Press and hold for 1 second.
- Slew — Sets the global slew time from zero up to the length of a whole step for portamento/glissando effect.
- Reset (knob) — Sets the number of steps in the sequence (1-8).
- Step 8 — Activates/deactivates step 8 or selects step 8 in menus. Press and hold to enter step settings.
