Mutable Instruments Yarns
Four-channel MIDI interface with sequencing and audio output
12 HP Eurorack module
Yarns is a 4-channel MIDI-to-CV/Gate interface for Eurorack systems, converting MIDI note, velocity, modulation, and clock data into precise analog control voltages and gate signals. It supports monophonic, duophonic, polyphonic, and multitimbral conversion modes, and includes onboard arpeggiators, sequencers, Euclidean pattern generators, and even audio-rate oscillator output, making it a deeply musical bridge between the digital MIDI world and analog modular synthesis.
Features
- 4-channel MIDI-to-CV/Gate conversion
- Monophonic mode with note, velocity, modulation wheel, and auxiliary CC/aftertouch CV outputs
- 2-voice polyphonic or 2-part multitimbral mode
- 4-voice polyphonic or 4-part multitimbral mode
- 4-part trigger conversion with per-part MIDI note selection
- Polychaining mode splitting voices between internal outputs and MIDI Out
- Clock and reset output in monophonic, duophonic, and trigger conversion modes
- Transposition per part
- Split and keyboard range settings
- Multiple voice allocation schemes: voice-stealing, random, cyclic
- Multiple note priority modes: lowest, highest, latest
- Arpeggiator with up, down, up and down, random, chord, and as-played modes
